Today, September 17, Carteret County Public Library, in partnership with the League of Women Voters, is excited to celebrate National Voter Registration Day! This nonpartisan civic holiday is all about encouraging our community to get registered and ensure everyone is ready to participate in upcoming elections.

Did you know that 1 in 4 Americans are either not registered to vote or are unsure of their registration status? Your vote matters, and we’re here to help make sure you’re ready for the next election.

Here’s how we can help you today:

  • Check or Register to Vote: Stop by the library for assistance in checking your registration status or registering to vote. You can also visit the NC Voter Registration Portal for more information.

  • Photo ID Requirements: North Carolina now requires a photo ID to vote. Need a photo ID?  Click HERE to find more information on how to obtain one.

  • Find Your Local Elections Office: Unsure where to get your voter ID? We can help you navigate the Carteret County Board of Elections.

Your vote is your voice—let's make sure everyone is ready to be heard this election season.
