Summer Reading: How it Works

Reading Logs

Reading Logs are used to track your reading time. Once you've filled in all the shapes, return to the library to turn in your log. Children and teens will receive a book and a tag for the first log returned and a tag (up to 6) for each log after that. For each log returned, you'll be entered into our grand prize drawing, which will be held for each branch. There is a limit of 6 entries per participant for the grand prize. The last day to turn in reading logs will be August 5, 2023. Click below for additional reading logs.

Enrollment

This year's program is open to participants of all ages, from birth to adults. To enroll, simply stop by the library and pick up a registration bag. The bag will contain a reading log, which you'll use to track the number of minutes you read. The number of minutes per shape depends on the age group to which you are assigned.
